The Controlled Atmosphere Technique
is applied to control pest in foodsupplies and is extremely
suitable for both preventive as well as curative treatments.
This technique is based on systems from the climate technique
and food preservation. The technique is environmentally friendly,
without the use of toxic gasses and it does not leave any
residue. This technique is thus suitable for the treatment
of consumption products, before or after processing. Another
aspect of this technique is that there appears no resistance
in your pest population.
On central places in the Netherlands, including Rotterdam
and Amsterdam, we have built special service terminals. The
food supplies or contaminated products are placed in gas tight
climate rooms in which we handle a low-oxygen regime. The
level of humidity will also be monitored. The duration of
the treatment is between the 3 and 10 days. After treatment
the products are completely free of insects at all stages
of their life.
