EcO2 QPS Treatment ®

The EcO2 NOMAD Installation

Sectors:    Musea    Archives/Libraries

The new EcO2 NOMAD is developed for the treatment of objects and products from Museums and Archives on location. The NOMAD is a specially designed tent in which art, antique and cultural heritage can be treated with Controlled Atmosphere. When your object is too valuable, too fragile or too big for transportation to our climate chambers, we can treat objects and products on location with the EcO2 NOMAD tent. The NOMAD can be fold up to a small package, which can be transported easily to the desired place.

The technique mostly applied in archives, museums and libraries is the EcO2 Controlled Atmosphere technique. This technique is 100% effective and extremely suitable to treat your cultural heritage according to the Integrated Pest Management System. The Controlled Atmosphere technique is environmental friendly and safe for you and your employees because it is 100% non-toxic, and there is no risk of residues remaining on the products. Besides this, no resistance in the pest population will occur.

The Controlled Atmosphere technique does not affect paper, paint, leather, textile, wood, metal, plastic, ink and varnish. The objects or products do not have to get out of their packaging (if packed in the right way) before the treatment starts. The safety of your objects or products is thus guaranteed, while pest like the silverfish, booklice, woodlice, woodworm, death watch beetle, longicorn, moth, etc are controlled.

With the EcO2 NOMAD, every desired atmosphere can be created according to the regulations of the Netherlands Institute of Cultural Heritage.
